The seventh element, Dendro, has finally become playable in Genshin Impact! Read on to learn more about its elemental reactions, and how to maximize it with team compositions!

as a playable region on Version 3.0, players are now 

, the only one among the seven elements in Teyvat that was yet to be playable. Alongside the Traveler being able to resonate with Dendro through one of Sumeru's Statues of the Seven, Collei is also available as a free reward in completing one of the current events in Genshin Impact.

As of writing, there are only three characters available with the Dendro element; the 4-star 

themselves. Expect more Dendro characters in future updates to Genshin Impact, but these three are perfect introductions to the power of Dendro.

The introduction of the Dendro element also brought new elemental reactions, some of which need more than two elements to occur.

While this elemental reaction was already in the game upon release, the 

reaction can now be procced when needed. All players need is 

Pyro damage-over-time to whoever receives the reaction

that deals Dendro damage to an area-of-effect. There can only be 

; if a sixth one sprouts, the oldest seed will automatically explode.

The player can also be damaged by these seeds, so be careful of your HP and your positioning during a battle.

reaction, which is an overall boost for Energy Recharge and overall damage. Proccing Catalyze will produce an 

, making them receive more Electro and Dendro damage so long as it is active.

Another unique property to the Dendro element is that they have a second tier of reactions if the proper combination is met. It has to be built from 

, so make sure to pay attention to the conditions on the battlefield to see what reactions are possible.

. This simply increases the Electro damage dealt once produced.

reaction. If Aggravate increases Electro Damage, then Spread increases the Dendro damage dealt when proccing.

Consider a team that has constant damage to produce both Spread and Aggravate at the same time. Choose characters with skills with low downtime from activation to cooldown. The Dendro Traveler, Fischl (especially at C6), Xiangling and the Raiden Shogun is a basic team to start, with the Shogun being replaced by any other DPS.

Using the seeds spawned after triggering Bloom, mixing 

, making the Dendro explosion stronger and wider in area-of-effect. Having more 

increases the damage done by Burgeoned seeds.

If the characters are available, try out a team featuring the Traveler, Collei, Xiangling and Kamisato Ayato. The first three's Elemental Skills and Elemental Bursts are all area of effect, which can be easy for Ayato to trigger both Bloom and Burgeon quickly once he launches Hydro-infused attacks.

Much like Burgeon, Hyperbloom damage can be increased by 

 on the character that triggers the reaction.

A team composed of Fischl, Xingqiu, Collei and the Dendro Traveler is a good free to play option for players who want to build a Hyperbloom team. All three characters have been event rewards with Collei being a reward for the 

. The Dendro characters provide area-of-effect Dendro application, Xinqiu is provides Hydro into Bloom using his Skill and Burst, and Fischl triggers Hyperbloom by summoning Oz using her own Skill.
