Keeping your cult members loyal and happy is integral in keeping your cult intact and functional. It is important to pay attention to the general state of your cult members even if, individually, they may seem expendable.

Here are some tips to keep your cult members happy!

Oftentimes you may see a cult member follow you throughout the camp beckoning for your attention. This means that they have a request that they want to bring up to you which can range from recruiting more followers into the cult, doing a harmless prank on a fellow cult member or outright killing them.

Follower Quests will make your flock more loyal towards you after completing them which can help them become more efficient workers and even net you Commandments Stones that can be used to get more Doctrines!

Your cult followers need food for their sustenance as well! Keep your cult well-fed and cook meals for them regularly. Don't forget to cook meals before you leave for a Crusade!

Have a steady supply of food by building a farm in your camp or by taking food routes in your Crusades when available. Food, as a resource, is only meant for your followers as you do not need to eat to live.

Make it a priority to build new beds whenever you recruit more cult members as they dislike sleeping on the cold campsite ground. You will be notified if you need to build more beds if there are no vacant spaces available.

These beds also need constant maintenance as they can break down after a few days, so invest in upgrading your beds as well!

Avoid letting poop and vomit from piling up at your camp. These disgusting clutter will make your followers sick once they see them which will only make more mess than before.

Try to survey around your camp every time you return from a Crusade and clean up any mess that your followers left behind. As you progress, build toilets to give your followers a proper place to do business.

Your followers need to rest too! After a long day at work, either from praying or managing your facilities, your cult members will want to take some shut-eye and sleep in their beds.

Reward your cult with some rest and avoid performing sermons and rituals during nighttime to avoid rudely waking up your followers. Doing so will have negative effects, so make it a habit to perform your cult activities during daytime.

If you fail to pay attention to the needs and ignore the general welfare of your cult members, your Faith levels will slowly drop.

You can raise the cult's Faith by accepting Follower Requests, doing sermons and rituals during daytime, and by simply taking care of your cult members by feeding them and cleaning up their mess.

If your Faith level drops, members of your cult will start doubting your abilities as a cult leader and will start dissenting and protesting inside the camp. Any dissenting cult member will have a chance to influence another member negatively.

You can solve this by building a Prison to stop any dissenters from making further noise, re-educate them about cult teachings for a few in-game days via a command, or you can simply get rid of them by killing them to save some time.

If you don't raise your Faith any time soon, your cult followers will give you a warning that they will all abandon the cult if you fail to raise the cult's Faith level.

If you still fail to do this after the warning your cult members will eventually leave and all you will be left with is an empty cult site barren of life. You need to recruit new followers if you want to make your cult up and running again.
