It's a big, wide galaxy out there, and you don't know whether your colony will thrive or be consumed by the blackness of space. That's why here's a guide on how to make colonies in Starsector.

Colony Buildings are an important part of playing Starsector, as they increase Stability, Accessibility, and the Fleet Size of your Colonies. More Stability means a lower chance of your Colony being overtaken by a Luddic Path Cel or a Rebellion, while more Accessibility means your Colony will be able to ship more goods to other planets.

A higher Fleet Size meanwhile means there will be more spaceships available to defend your Colony against attack by other factions.

Industries are your Colony's main source of income, as they generate wealth by exporting certain products to other planets. They also help maintain stability by meeting your Colony's own demand for the goods they create.

The success of one of your Colonies will definitely catch the attention of one of the Persean Sector's factions, who will aim to disrupt its operations. Deal with these threats quickly, or risk losing your Colony to rebellion due to the resulting instability these Threats will cause.
