The Walking Guardians scattered around Hyrule may be terrifying and difficult to deal with at first. However, with the right weapons and timing, you'll be able to take one down easily. Here's how!

Ancient Weapons are crafted with ancient Sheikah technology. Thus, they are far more effective as weapons against any kind of Guardian.

You can get them as loot after defeating a Guardian in Test of Strength shrines. They can also be obtained from chests or at the Akkala Tech Lab by supplying Cherry the right items (plus some rupees!).

When facing a walking guardian, it's best to take down its legs first to incapacitate it. If it can't move, it won't be able to chase you around and you'll have an easier time getting closer to it.

Once you see the guardian charging its laser, take out your shield immediately. Lock on the guardian and immediately parry when you see it building energy around its eye.

This can take some time to master but it's absolutely worth it. You can use any kind of shield too! Even that pot lid you found lying around can be used to take down a guardian.

If it's too difficult for you to parry its laser, consider getting an Ancient Shield from the Akkala Tech Lab. This shield does the parrying for you so you don't have to worry about timing your parry.
